Question:
Hi Alan
Rather than mess around fitting an induction kit (which i beleive are no good on a td04 wagon anyway?) i am going to put in a green panel filter - is there ay benefits of removing the \"snorkel\" thing in the inner wing to help improve airflow and/or perhaps putting a cold feed duct in there to help suck in some cold air? Your thoughts would e appreciated please?
thanks

Answer:
Hi Andrew - We wouldn't bother changing any of that at all if using a TD04. The filter case is perfectly capable of flowing enough without modification. A panel filter is fine. A remap will make a big difference, and that is what you need if you want to gain power and torque. If your car is a 99 on, you can have it mapped using Ecutek software, if not, you could go for the Simtek ECU option. |
