Question: where are the marks on the cam shaft pulleys ? am trying to replace cam belt and there are maks on all but the top pulleys
Answer: It's because there aren't any marks! you need special equipment and knowledge to do those. If I were you, I'd seek help from an Alfa dealer or specialist.

Question: Hi I understand that the standard 4 ECU is not capable of being mapped, if i bought a 5 or 6 ECU how much would you charge to fit and map? At the moment i have a apexi filter, hks exhast fitted with a decat, i want to fit a manual boost controller and walbro fuel pump just to get a bit more ummf. cheers
Answer: If it doesn't have a licence, we charge 500 including vat for a full mapping session. We like to have the car for a full day if possible. We can usually supply the ECU as well if you don't have one. There is a small wiring change to take care of, which we include in the cost.

Question: hi allan, could you give me a price for a 2.5 conversion please on a 1998 sti type r, was told this is a stronger option as the standard engine has done the big end bearing and i want it repaired but dont want it going bang again. i have also considered getting a sti engine and ecu from a newer subaru maybe from a 05 plate etc, if i was to do this would it be a simple process or will i have to change wiring loom and other parts?? many thanks.
Answer: Hi Wayne - The 2.5 isn't any stronger, all those engines are basically as tough as each other, depending on piston choice, assuming you aren't scaling the power up very much! The 2.5 would give a lot more torque, and would feel a lot faster on the road. If your car is a version 4, you would have to add a plug and play ECU, such as Apexi or Simtek. An 05 engine won't work, as it uses variable valve timing. I don't see any reason why we couldn't rebuild your original block with new parts, it would be as reliable as any other method. Answer: New engine, including fresh forged pistons, new crank, Cosworth bearings, RC oil pump, overhauled heads, Cosworth head gaskets etc etc, painted, fitted, engine bay cleaned, tow in and drive out inc vat 2650
