Question: Having problems getting car running on new ecu as old haltech failed. Got a nemisis ecu now, but requires more sensors. Can you do work on nemisis ecu for evo VI. ECU is mapped to similar spec car but may require tweek to map. Does this ecu need a oxy sensor? If i can\'t get it working can you just take it on and get it working?
Answer: Hi.. Can you give me some idea of the spec? it may well be that you're making problems for yourself there! Hardly anybody uses that solution, and you may be better off with a stock Evo 5 or 6 ECU..

Answer: Hi Chris - We'd charge 60 for a dyno test with diagnostics and go from there. A days notice will do ..

Question: Hi Alan I have a 2002 wrx wagon and am In the process of changing the timming belt, but the crank pulley has moved. What is the best way to re- align it, do I turn the pulley clockwise or anti-clockwise, many thanx.
Answer: Hi Steve - My advice is to either get a Haynes manual and do exactly as it says, or ask a trained mechanic to help you. From this distance I've no idea what you're up to!

Question: Hi Alan, long term prob with my 1995 Impreza Wrx Grey Import. Under hard acceleration, especially FIRST gear, the engine will not respond ,and its like hitting an early rev limiter,especially where the power should really be kicking in !! It bogs down, and slightly lifting throttle and slowly re-applying is required to get moving again.... I have swapped my MAF twice and E C U to no avail, and had a recent service including cambelt kit . Also, the problem does occur through other gears, hesitation and holding back, particularly when demanding the power suddenly,and not allowing the revs to build up slowly !! Certainly driving me mad anyway, and welcome your advise ...thanks Chris
Answer: Hi Chris - This is going to sound inadequate, but you need to have it checked out! There are a number of issues that could cause that, and only a good operator, preferably with a dyno can sort it out. If you're anywhere near local, come on down!

Question: Hi How much will it cost to remap a 2003 BMW x5 3.0d 184BHP? what will be the gains? Its a manual so can it go on the rolling road? cheers Alistair
Answer: Hi Alistair - We have two of these in our family, great cars! Both remapped of course.. The gains are impressive, certainly in torque, which can be as much as 100lbs ft. Yes, we can dyno test it. cost 250 all in. We can book with just a days notice.
