Answer: Hi Ollie - Labour approx 230 inc vat. Remap 550 inc vat or 275 inc vat if it turns out the E6 ECU already has an Ecutek licence installed! We can do the work when you're ready.

Question: hi alan just to say thanks for sorting my coils on my 94 wrx est running loads better now. in need of a mid range brake upgrade, some thing that does not cost more than the car is worth as the car only runs on public roads. do you supply and fit new/second hand if so how much? cheers
Answer: Hi Marcus - We can supply a few different disc and pad combinations, probably EBC discs and redstuff pads would do nicely. Grooved front discs with redstuff front and rear pads would come in at around 320 plus vat.

Question: Rover 114 - Thanks for the advice about the rotor arm, i did in fact take it to a garage who said exactly the same thing as you and replaced the rotor and cap. i parted with the small sum of 35 quid quite happy to have my car back and within 1/4 of a mile the car was back playing up. the garage was closing as i fetched it so i attemped the few mile journey home. it died on me (no power) about 4 times causing me to be a obstacle in the rush hour traffic but i managed to get i going `just about` each time and made it home. i rang the garage the next day and he said to try the throttle position sensor as it had given a funny reading and to try and get one myself as they dont make them anymore. i found one on `find a part` and had it express shipped and it came today, i just fitted it in the pitch black pouring rain and its still the same, in fact its still getting worse. i tried driving it around thinking maybe the ecu had to `learn` the new tps but to no avail. it even hunts and misses occsionally while ticking over now and even dies while im stood over the engine bay. im really at a loss and im sure you can imagine how disheartening it is when you take it to a garage and fork out cash for nothing. while driving if i drove very slowly giving very little gas (except when pulling off when it seems to need to need plenty gas) it almost drove okay but as soon as push down on the gas to get her moving she just dies and relesing the gas is the only way to `catch` it before it conks out fully. im really banhing my head on a brick wall with this one. any other suggestions before trying another garage. thanks for your precious time
Answer: When you've seen forty seven cars doing the same thing, the rotor arm seemed a good place to go! I think it's time you found someone who can get at it "hands on" Assuming all bases have been covered from the ignition viewpoint, of course it still has a coil that could be faulty, the problem could be connected to injector pulse. It's hard to tell what's going on from here. From here on in, you need test equipment and knowledge. We often run up against a situation these days where the cost of repair exceeds the value of the car, so think carefully about where you want to go with it.
