Question:
HAve just rebuilt my 3 door and it starts fine but puts out alot of white smoke at idle and when revved, (its definately not blue), i have only run it up twice for about 10 mins a time but it doesn\'t seem to be clearing, am i liable to be looking at a head gasket (and would this show up on a compression test?) or a could it be moisture in the system as the tank and stuff has been sat for 2 years! |

Answer:
Hi.. If you aren't losing water from the cooling system, it's nothing to worry about. You need to get out there and drive it!
A gasket compromise, or cracked head, wouldn't necessarily show up on a compression test. These have been known to crack across the inlet ports, so be careful when you test it. |
