Question: 2004 WRX Wagon-AFTER SPEAKING TO MARTYN AT THE SWMS, HE ADVISED ME TO INSTALL STi PINK INJECTORS - I HAVE SOURCED SOME ON THE SWS FORUM - THEY ARE FROM A 2004 STi - HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO CHECK FIRST FOR CORRECT FUEL RAIL FITMENT - CAN YOU ANSWER THIS ONE - HAVE SOURCED AND PURCHASED A VF39 TURBO - NEED INJECTORS HOPEFULLY THE PINKS - AN APEXI ECU AND 255LPH FUEL PUMP AND A VISIT TO YOU WOULD BE IMINENTLY ON THE CARDS TO MAP IT ALL TOGETHER - ANY IDEA ON POSS GAINS WITH ALL FITTED - HAS BEEN DECATTED, INDUCTION, OH!! Answer: Hi Alan - You don't need an Apexi ECU, we can map your original one with Ecutek. I'm not certain offhand about the injector fitment, but Martyn will answer that one for you. We'll need an alternative boost controller, and a front mount is a must for high boost. Call us on 01752 345880 for a chat I think!

Question: I hav recently bought a 205 1.6 GTI with a 1.9 engine.It seems quite jerky low revs is this normal? Also It has got a powerflow exhaust + K&N what else could i do to get more power? Cheers
Answer: The 205's often suffer from flat spots and hesitations. you can't beat a rolling road session for sorting that one out!

Question: hi Alan, could you give me your opinion on what would be a good every day performance car? I have a 2 litre prelude at the moment which you chipped, but would like some thing a bit quicker without being too unreliable. have around 7k to spend. cheers.
Answer: Car choice is so specific! You can't beat a turbo for performance, assuming you can insure it. On that basis, I'd go for an Impreza, UK spec gives 210 bhp, and easily tweaked to 240 bhp or so. Should be reliable if properly cared for, and spares are plentiful. Apart from that it's back to Honda, maybe an early Integra Type R?

Question: hi alan my dad has been looking for a car to modify he likes honda integra type r dc5 o1yr and a seat leon 1.8 20v turbo cupra r which is best to modify? and whats the best honda to get for modifying speed wise? cheers
Answer: Hi. The turbo Cupra is by far the easiest to modify, a chip set up will add 30 bhp without any bother, assuming it isn't faulty! You can't add much to Hondas, as they tend to be pretty good as is, being normally aspirated.

Question: I have a 205 turbo technics. The turbo - manifold bolts keep coming loose. Can you recommend a suitable lock nut for this?
Answer: Hi..Try the Ford nuts designed for Cosworth and Escort RS turbo applications.
