Question:
Hi alan, ive recently rebuilt my z20let astra gsi. To give you a rough idea of what i have had done. My head has had fully overhauled, Its had omega 87mm pistons, steel H seaction conrods with arp conrod bolts, mains, big ends, bottom end gasket set, surface block, rebore block, competition head gasket, arp head bolts and deleted the balance shaft with new ladder assembly and pick up pipe, currently running a vxr turbo, all the work above was carried out by paul inch.
The engine hasnt even been run in yet. I was wondering if you would recommended having the car checked to see if the fuel and air ratios are correct before running it in, How much would this cost to get set up?
Also in the not to distant furture im planning on getting a vxr 80mm afm and vxr injectors. How much would it cost to get it all set up and what sort of power do you think i could run?
Cheers Joe |

Answer:
Hi Joe - The stock ECU isn't that tuneable, we certainly don't have the software to get at it and in any event it isn't live mappable.
We can check it's ok for you, but I certainly wouldn't suggest changing the air mass meter or injectors without dealing with the management problem. |
