Question: I have checked plugs they all fine how should be not loosing water still drive like new and boosts fine and pulls fine but i seam to be burning oil and getting smoke from exhaust not all the time though my car ia a subaru impreza wrx sti 05 reg 52k
Answer: Your best bet is to have it checked out by a Subaru specialist. Are you anywhere near us?

Question: hi alan, ive been offered a evo 2 an can get it on a really good deal, i was just wondering if theses are easy to tune an mod, i think its got a front mount an been told its around 300 bhp, if i get it i\'ll bring it down to put on the rollers, many thanks chris.
Answer: Hi Chris - I really like these! we don't see very many, but the cars are great to drive, with a lightness of touch missing from a lot of 4wd offerings. They are a bit trickier to tune compared to the later Evos, but aren't at all bad with just a light tweak.

Question: ok thanks it just ive spent money on the exterior look of the car by fitting a custom kit fitted is there a chance to do an engine change
Answer: Anything can be done, but be wary of spending much more than it's worth! We can do a few things like a Superchip, induction kit and exhaust? That would add around 12 bhp for 700 or so. We could also improve the handling with slightly lowered springs and the brakes with EBC discs and pads.

Question: hi i got a standard 2000 mgf 1.8 i think from diffrent web sites ive looked at its got 118 bhp? my goal is to make some kinda speed monster out of it, ive set a side around 3000 to make it so and was wondering what options (if any) i got many thanks ben
Answer: Hi Ben - It's possible to tune these, but you can't go too far if you want to be able to run it on the road. Turbo Technics used to supply a Supercharger kit, but there is no denying the engines can be problematic! Personally, I'd say your best bet is to add the 3000 to what you'd get by selling it, then seek out the 160 bhp version.

Question: Hi, my STi PPP has recently developed a hesitation only when accelerating gently between 1500-2000 rpm. Just seems to hang back. Been to main dealer for checks but no faults found. ECU cleared (now feels like a non PPP!) but hesitation remains. At some point I\'m planning to visit you for forged pistons but is this the prelude to the dreaded ringland failure?
Answer: Hi. That doesn't sound like a piston issue, but rather more like there's something the matter with it. If it were possible, I'd dyno test it and go from there.
