Question: Hi Alan, Evo FQ 360 - I have fitted a larger inter cooler and a decat pipe plus gizmo boost controller and walbro 255. I want to fit one of your S205 turbo kits to raise the power to 430ish. Would this be safe with standard internals. I will be changing the rod bolts to ARP bolts. Thanks Pete.
Answer: Hi Pete - that all sounds fine. We have fitted and mapped the S205 up to 450 bhp on a few otherwise standard Evo 9s without any problems. You will need to change your injectors, we'd go for 750's to include a little future proofing.

Question: hi i am currently looking into buying a 1998 vtr and i have been told they sit around 90bhp standard and was wondering what u could offer in terms of bringing the power upto around 130 or 140bhp and how long would u need the car for etc?? many thanks ross
Answer: Hi Ross - You would need to fit a turbo to gain that much power. By the time you'd done that, you might as well have bought the VTS to start with.

Question: hi alan/martin, i\'m building a legacy turbo with an impreza wrx turbo engine, looking for around 350 bhp, which clutch would you recomend ? cheers, matt
Answer: Hi Matt - assuming it's for normal road use, you should be fine with the standard item. There are uprated ones, but we'd only go for AP Racing or Helix organics which cost around 500.

Question: Hi alan, im looking at getting a new car and im looking at the subaru P1 or the evo 6.i noticed you used to have a Subaru and sold it for the evo. What one do you prefer ? What are they like round a track / drag strip? They are around the same price to start with and if im being honest i prefer the shape of the Subaru but theres a lot more subarus on the road than evos and i did fancy something a bit more rare. Finally is one more expensive than the other to get more power from the engine ? I feel you are a great person to ask as you have owned them both and had experience driving them so any input would be appreciated. Many thanks
Answer: Hi Brian - both of the cars I had were in tip top low mileage condition, which certainly helps. The P1 does have a higher value than the equivalent Type R, and I'm not sure I'd buy one with the intentions of tracking it. It all depends how serious you are, personally if I'm on a race track, the red mist comes down! Id say the cars are very similar in performance terms, the Evo may well be cheaper to prepare for occasional track use, being slightly better prepared to start with, having better brakes and intercooling. The Evo should make 350 bhp right away with a decat and re map but you'd need a front mount intercooler to do the same with the P1 I'd say the Evo has a slightly better put together feel, but the Subaru has a certain charm lacking in the Mitsubishi. It's still hard to choose!
