Question:
Hi
I have a 2002 leon 1.8 20vt in stock tune.
What would i do and what parts would i need to make it a stage one tune?
The part fitting i can do, but remapping i will have to come to yourself, roughly how nuch is that and with the mods you suggest what increases in power and torque could i expect.
And following on, what would be a stage 2 shopping list? and would that be another remap or an update for the stage one?!
I also have read about certain valves on the engine that can be removed, the N249 and SAI or N211 (is that the same thing?), to remove or not to remove?
Sorry if this is a big ask but i\'m not sure what direction to go. Looking for the best advice i can find and you did a great job on my classic mini years ago so i thought no better place to start.
Thanks a lot for your time in advance, and hopefully get it ready for a visit in the near future.
Cheers

Answer:
Hi Paul - I'd just go with a standard remap to be honest. I don't hold any store by air filter and dump valve mods and I wouldn't be removing the cat either. The remap should add around 30 bhp and the cost is £250 including dyno testing and vat. We can book with just a day's notice. |
