Teaming up with Wossner.
With the winter months fast approaching and car events beginning to wind down, it provides us with the perfect opportunity at Enginetuner HQ to burn the midnight oil and refresh the engine on ET1.
ET1 has served us incredibly well and could well be used for another season or two, however, Martyn has designs on hitting 4 digits with his BHP figure, bettering his PB and sitting proud at the top of the Enginetuner Power Clubs leaderboard. In case you are new in town, ET1 is our dedicated drag car. It currently runs an EJ20 engine stroked to 2.1L, packs 859BHP plus nitrous and has a PB 1/4 mile time of 9.763 seconds at a terminal speed of 148.07mph on an unprepped surface.
Given it’s been running the same setup since 2013 with countless hard launches across various surfaces, it was only natural that we have teamed up with the guys at Wössner once again to use their latest forged pistons and I-beam con rods.
When it comes to pistons, especially for cars running beyond stock power (in this case almost four times the stock power!) the right choice of pistons and rods is essential. Given their pedigree and experience, as well as the quality of their parts, Wössner were the obvious partner to see ET1 launch into 2023.
If you fancy checking out ET1 in action, head to our YouTube channel where you can see it in full send mode at Dakota Raceway alongside ET2. We will, of course, be documenting the full progress of ET1’s refresh across our social channels so make sure you are following to keep up to speed.
